Claw was brought to the Cove as a baby orphan and quickly made it through the ranks to be crowned leader of the pirates by the Elders at the age of 13. Bewildered by similar occurrences throughout his life he tends to stay consumed in thought and only trusts two people with his closest secrets: Song La Swan and Judite Le Crow
